It can happen to you too

I thought today was going to be an easy, quiet, normal day. Unfortunately for me the day had other plans. I tried to turn on my computer this morning, and it wouldn't turn on! I took out the battery, it still wouldn't turn on! So I took it to Best Buy, and then the Geek Squad guy ruined my day. He told me my motherboard is dead. Now I don't know much about computers but anything "dead" can't be good. I'm trying to stay positive though, and asked how long it would take to fix it. He said they can't repair it in the store, and need to send in my computer to Toshiba, so it would be gone for 2-3 WEEKS! Oh and since I've, oh, NEVER backed up my files, I need to pay an extra $100 to have everything backed up on my external hard drive.

The good news is we have two extra laptops at work. But all my photos! All my calendar plans! All my online gift order confirmations! I don't know what I'm going to do if they can't recover them.

I hope you all go home tonight and back up your computers!

Okay, moving on to something I can fix, Day 9 of the December Scrapbook. I would have gotten Day 10 done today too if it wasn't for this computer fiasco, so as soon as I get all my programs installed on this computer I'll finish the page and port it.

Day 9:

Also, if you're looking for websites to shop at these are some that I've found quite successful, and most of their items I've found on Amazon, which offers free shipping for most everything, which is great if you order the gifts early enough.
