Fun weekend

Julie and I went to happy hour at Elliot's, ordered several beers, appetizers, oyster shooters- which were my first, and way peppery (not sure if that's how they're supposed to taste), and had a sampling of 6 different wines. We had a great bartender, and I'm bringing the rest of you girls there soon too! Then we went and saw Narnia, and the people in the theatre didn't think it was so funny that I was drunk. Mreh!
This one's from Saturday. Doug got this shot, and I can't tell you how happy it makes me! This is me trying to convince Jenny to take a Rumplemints shot, which she wont! Lame, I know- Rumplemints are awesome! So she's thinking I'm crazy, and gives me this look. This is THE Jenny look. I love that it's on camera!
Then we met Emily's daddy. Aren't they so cute!?
On Sunday Luke and Marianne had a BBQ at their house. Parties at their house are always fun cause we dance, and Luke has all the good old hip hop dance songs that I love so much! I'm not really sure where all the drunkenness came in, but it happens, so we took good care of our little wasted friend. Besides her violent streak she's pretty cute when she's drunk, but needed lots of TLC. She's lucky to have friends that love her so much (also another great shot thanks to Doug, we might have to invite him out more).

I have two videos of the night- I love when you get people on film! Also, Luke is in the background going "I think I'm sobering up". Makes me laugh just to type that! This is Luke tossing marshmallows in the air, and trying to catch them in his mouth. He was wasted as well.

And this was from my drive to work in Tacoma at 6am. I get the best views on my commutes.

One photo

So my sister flew into town for a couple of days for my mom's 60th bday, and while she was here we went out to Murphy's to catch up with friends, and to Bremerton for dinner with my mom, and my new step dad.

I have one photo.

This makes me sad. It's of my mom and Bob (the step dad), who is probably the coolest person for my mom to marry, and they'll probably really appreciate the photo, but I only have 1!

I miss taking pictures. I miss going out with my girlfriends and laughing and causing trouble and being silly. This weekend we don't have plans to get together. It feels like ages since we've gotten together, and I miss it oh so much! Not that I'm all caught up on my scrapbooking, but I don't have new fun silly nights to scrapbook. And I need to take more pictures!

The thing I love about my friends the the most is that they never complain when I want to take pictures. They will continue to smile, stick out their tongue, laugh, jump, whatever the picture may require. That's how I know they love me.

So, this is my plea to my girlfriends- let's go play and take some silly photos that we can look back on months from now and laugh about. Photos that will help us remember that it was a bad idea to dance on the bar, or how we got those boys to buy us shots (and how we still can't remember their names), how we made a bulls eye when most of the darts landed on the floor, or how bad we continue to feel for the people at taco bell for having to take our order. I love waking up in the morning and reviewing all the photos from the night before!

Let's go out :)

The new deck

My front deck is done! Today I have to seal them both, and find some way to get the guys boot prints off them first. But check out the difference.

Now I need to start gardening and cleaning out all the stuff that's been collecting with my garbage. Oh the joys of owning a house! But just think of all the before and after I will have to scrapbook!

Sick

I'm at home sick today. I always hope for sick days, but when you're actually sick and at home it sucks. It does make having roommates at home very helpful. I can't shout, but at least I can call Anna on her cell phone if I need anything.

I also have great friends who have offered to stop by after work and say hi and keep asking if I need anything. They're wonderful- thank you. I'm thinking I need some ice cream if anyone wants to stop by today :)

The thing is I'm not usually one to stay home sick. Usually I'll tough it out and go to work. Typically if I stay home it's cause I just don't want to go to work, not cause I can't. So I keep looking around my room thinking of all these things I should be doing. Like scrapbooking, cleaning up my bed (I've been sleeping alone too much lately, and I've just started piling everything on the opposite side of my bed), gardening, laundry. There's so many things. I just can't do any of them. It makes me feel like I'm just getting farther and farther behind. I think I just need to go back to sleep. I can't even get out of bed to watch television. It's times like these when I wish my mom was here to take care of me.

On a good note though I'm getting new decks! The back deck is almost finished. The old one was just falling apart, it was small, and had a cover on it that made it really dark. Here's some old pictures

The demolition
The new deck!
It still needs steps and some flowers and plantings etc, but check that out! Today is the front deck. Here's what it looks like now

I'll let you know how it turns out. Back to bed for me.
