Backyard games

Kids can make a game of anything. The other weekend while Andy was out mowing the lawn Vinnie decided that he and Leo should run around the yard and try to not step on poop. Genius idea. So they began to run around in circles, and return to the porch and check shoes after each lap. Leo eventually lost and the game ended shortly there after. Really not sure where these ideas come from. 

Vinnie has taken to climbing up and sitting on the highest perch he can find, and then he likes to just hang out there for a bit.

Bedtime stories. Leo will sit still for about a minute if you're not reading his books to him, but it's nice to try and read to both of them at the same time.

 Just a couple months ago Vinnie would fight teeth and nail about reading. He got frustrated didn't like to do it. Reading was a chore. Well reading may still be a chore, since he doesn't sit down and look at books on his own like Leo does, but his ability to read has increased immensely, and his understanding of the words on the page is so much better. Now every night we read one story and he reads one story. He's reading Level 1 now.

 For some reason while I was at work Leo pulled my shoes out and sat down in the hallway with them. No idea. Andy found him like this. I think he misses me.
